Just as burnout can take time to set in, recovery also won\u2019t happen overnight. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><section class=\"wp-classic\"><div class=\"container\">\n\n<\/div><\/section><section class=\"wp-core-heading\"><div class=\"container\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Possible Signs of Employee Burnout <\/h3>\n<\/div><\/section><section class=\"wp-classic\"><div class=\"container\">\n\n<\/div><\/section><section class=\"wp-core-list\"><div class=\"container\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Absenteeism\/regularly late for work<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Persistent negativity, cynicism or apathy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Poor treatment of others<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increase or changes in substance use<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increased mistakes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Decreased motivation or commitment. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/section><section class=\"wp-classic\"><div class=\"container\">\n\n<\/div><\/section><section class=\"wp-core-heading\"><div class=\"container\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Strategies to Prevent Burnout<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/section><section class=\"wp-classic\"><div class=\"container\">\n\n<\/div><\/section><section class=\"wp-core-list\"><div class=\"container\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pay attention to changes in an employee\u2019s performance or behaviour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Address concerns as you see them happening, don\u2019t wait until they build up<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make time to regularly check in with employees and listen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Communicate, keep employees informed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide clear performance expectations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Celebrate individual and team accomplishments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Encourage and respect personal and professional boundaries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/section><section class=\"wp-classic\"><div class=\"container\">\n\n<\/div><\/section><section class=\"wp-core-heading\"><div class=\"container\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wellness Tips <\/h3>\n<\/div><\/section><section class=\"wp-classic\"><div class=\"container\">\n\n<\/div><\/section><section class=\"wp-core-paragraph\"><div class=\"container\">\n<p>Don\u2019t shrug it off. If you\u2019re struggling with burnout, or concerned about an employee, there are people you can talk to. In addition to your own supervisor or manager, visit the resources below for nonjudgmental help lines. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><section class=\"wp-classic\"><div class=\"container\">\n\n<\/div><\/section><section class=\"wp-core-paragraph\"><div class=\"container\">\n<p>Other steps you can take:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><section class=\"wp-classic\"><div class=\"container\">\n\n<\/div><\/section><section class=\"wp-core-list\"><div class=\"container\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lead by example. Purposefully disconnect and set boundaries around your time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Try to build healthy habits for unwinding and letting off steam after work, such as physical activity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Limit your intake of substances such as alcohol and caffeine. Although they might feel good in the short-term, they can interfere with sleep and contribute to other issues. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/section><section class=\"wp-classic\"><div
