Join us for a creative and restorative journey into the heart of self-care through the expressive arts. This experiential workshop invites you to reconnect with your inner world using a blend of visual art, gentle movement, and creative writing. In a supportive, non-judgmental space, you’ll explore what self-care means to you, not just as a routine, but as a meaningful relationship with your own well-being.
No prior artistic experience is needed, just a willingness to explore. Whether you’re looking to replenish your energy, gain clarity, or simply enjoy some creative time for yourself, this workshop offers a powerful way to reconnect, realign, and restore.
Through guided prompts, gentle reflection, and creative play, participants will:
- Use expressive arts to identify and release inner blocks to well-being
- Deepen their understanding of self-care as an imaginative and playful personal practice
- Discover creative ways that support emotional balance and resilience
- Leave with renewed insight, inspiration, and practical tools for ongoing self-nourishment
- Suggested Materials:
- Basic art materials (markers, pencil crayons, pastels)
- Writing materials (pen/pencil and lined paper)
- Standard sized paper (8.5 x 11 inches)
Our presenterChelsea Angeles (she/her) is a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor, Certified Expressive Arts Therapist, workshop facilitator and speaker. In her practice, she offers a compassionate and playful space where clients are open to explore and lead with curiosity and imagination. Chelsea is dedicated to empowering her clients by fostering resilience through creativity by integrating therapeutic expressive arts approaches to promote emotional well-being, support self-development, and self-expression. Expressive Arts (visual art, creative writing, movement and dance, music and voice) has the power to hold, heal, and offer a space where we can show up as we are and land in the art. As an artist and formally trained dancer, Chelsea has a rich background in the performing arts, including experience in theatre, as well as writing and performing spoken word poetry. Currently, she fosters her own self-expression through her connection with movement and dance. Chelsea’s experiences with expressive arts have been a beautiful reminder of the importance of engaging with imagination and play in her everyday life.
