Learning Circles: From Awareness to Advocacy in the Workplace

Learning Circles: From Awareness to Advocacy in the Workplace is part of a video series exploring Indigenous perspectives on psychological health and safety in the workplace.

Created to support employers and workers across BC’s tourism and hospitality industry, this series is a partnership between Len Pierre Consulting, go2HR, and CMHA BC.

In this session, we explore how individuals and organizations can move from awareness to advocacy by:

  • Creating space for open conversations about Indigenous perspectives
  • Using your role and influence to support reconciliation and cultural safety
  • Centering Indigenous voices without speaking on behalf of communities
  • Practicing everyday allyship and accountability

This Learning Circle invites both Indigenous and non Indigenous staff to reflect on how advocacy can show up in daily actions, workplace culture, and guest experiences, helping create environments that are more culturally and psychologically safe for everyone.

This video is part of the Learning Circles series. We encourage you to watch the other sessions, each offering practical tools to help build culturally safe and psychologically healthy workplaces.
